Description:

We were invited to turn neglected industrial hall into temporary gallery of African statue. Restricted feasibility inspired us in truly African way: to re-use everything. Main layout is taken from typical marketplace where you can freely browse and interact with exposition. Then we took scrap cardboard from area. Cut them into the pieces, tie them together and they became a statue stands. We also reused typical African textile patterns and colours for decorational purposes. Scrap furniture is covered with colorful textiles. Patterns are hand-painted on the floor and serving as guidance system in exposition.
Facade was cleaned from billboards and remaining construction is used as support for museum’s main poster.
